Some time ago you may remember I used my personal sized, Jamie Notes, ring planner for my positive life journaling. Here’s a little reminder…
In time I began to out grow this little planner. It was too small for what I had in mind. So I eventually set it aside and kept my eyes open for something a little bigger.
Then, just before Christmas, I saw the Heidi Swapp Memory Planner. It was love at first sight. As I drooled over images of it on all social media platforms my mind flooded with potential ideas. Then I remembered I still had need of something to document my journey to a more positive lifestyle. Heidi Swapp’s memory planner stole my heart and so I decided it was “the one”.
So, like every new year, January started with good intentions. And I committed to them all. That is until life decided to throw me some curve balls. I was tested over and over until I couldn’t take it anymore. I broke down in tears exhausted. So I set all my plans aside and I stopped. I learned enough by then to know sometimes you just have to do what’s right for your own wellbeing regardless of what your to do list says.
So began a fresh commitment to my search for a more well balanced, positive life. I knew my downer was all down to listening, once again, to all negativity and not feeding my soul. I was spiritually starving! I started to keep a journal in my Lyradori from Lyra and Co.
At this point, having a set of new principles and steps I was taking, such as keeping a record of things I am grateful for, answers to prayer, a commitment to putting into practice forgiveness, I needed that planner! So, better late than never I got out my Heidi Swapp memory planner and set about documenting each day.
I began by printing out photos of things I was grateful for, using my new Polaroid Zip.
Next I decorated this weeks spread using some washi tape and various stickers in my stash…
I then set about recording what I am grateful for and setting my intention for the week.
Within this planner I will be recording the following:
- Meaningful quotes
- Answers to prayer
- Images, photos, and keepsakes related to any of the above
- Anything else that comes to mind that is relevant to the journey
Last time I did this it was a really therapeutic process. It is also a beautiful way to document a journey you may be on be it a spiritual one, parenting, travelling, etc. Once it is full I have a wonderful keepsake.
So that is what I’m using my planner for. Who else has one and what are you doing with yours?
